His estate was probated on 1 Sep 1685 at Accomack Co, Virginia.

     Elizabeth Mott was born a 1640. She married William Mitchell (of South River) c 1670 at Anne Arundel Co, Maryland.¹ Elizabeth Mott died b 9 Mar 1674 at Anne Arundel Co, Maryland.

     Margaret Mitchell was born a 1645 at Co Sussex, England.¹ She was the daughter of CPT William Mitchell I, Esq and (1st wife of Wm Mitchell) (Unknown).¹ Margaret Mitchell married William Jones I c 1665 at Somerset Co, Maryland. Margaret Mitchell died on 7 Jun 1683 at Manny (Monie), Somerset Co, Maryland.¹

     Joan Toast was born a 1635.¹ She married CPT William Mitchell I, Esq on 10 Apr 1652 at Maryland.¹ Joan Toast died on 29 Oct 1720.¹

     Elizabeth Mitchell was born c 1655 at Maryland.¹ She was the daughter of CPT William Mitchell I, Esq and Joan Toast.¹ Elizabeth Mitchell married COL Edmund Scarburgh III, son of COL Edmund Scarburgh II (Burgess) and Mary Cade or Harmer, c 1681. Elizabeth Mitchell died on 29 Oct 1720.¹

     COL Charles Scarburgh (Burgess) was born in 1643 at Accomack Co, Virginia. He was the son of COL Edmund Scarburgh II (Burgess) and Mary Cade or Harmer.¹ COL Charles Scarburgh (Burgess) married Elizabeth Bennett, daughter of GOV & MG Richard Bennett and Ann (Unknown), c 1670 at Virginia. COL Charles Scarburgh (Burgess) died in 1701. His estate was probated on 6 Oct 1702 at Accomack Co, Virginia.

      Col. Charles Scarburgh was named in a land dispute on 25 March 1672 at Northampton Co, VA. Mr. Edmund Scarburgh producing a patent granted to him in 1649 for 2,000 acres in Northampton Co, VA out of which his father Col. Edmund Scarburgh in his life time did patent for his son Littleton Scarburgh, 1,000 acres for which Charles Scarburgh the elder brother of Edmond did sue him in Northampton Co Court from which Edmond appealed to this General Court. It was ordered that the land in Edmonds patent be surveyed allowing him ten percent in the survey, and if any over plus land be found within the bounds thereof, then, that to remain to Charles Scarburgh as heir to his brother Littleton.

Charles served in the Virginia House of Burgesses between 1680 and 1693. He was also on the Governor's Councill 1691-1702. He was a Burgess from N'hamp County, 1680-82, from Accomack in 1684, 1688, 1691-92 and was a member of the Council in 1696-1702. In 1693 he was mentioned as commander in chief of militia, justice and president of the court of Accomack County. He was one of 9 persons named in 1691 to be present for the taking their Majesties' grant of a Charter to erect a college to be known as William and Mary.

In 1683 he held 9,950 acres in Accomack Co, VA.

Charles made a will on 6 Aug 1701 at Pungoteague, Accomack Co, VA: To eldest son Bennet Scarburgh 521 acres near Kikotanck formerly called Hogneck, now Antingham; land in Jollys Neck and his one share of Benefield in Pocomoke containing 3,000 acres and his share of 2,500 acres in Wickocomo in Maryland, to be equally divided between him and his sister Ann Parker. To son Charles Scarburgh planatation at Great Matomkin where he now lives containing by patent 2,100 acres. To son Henry Scarburgh plantation where I now live at Pungoteague after the death of my wife and my Island called Scarburgh Winter Island in the mouth of Pungoteague. To daughter Ann, wife of George Parker of Onancock, Gentleman: her share of 3,000 acres at Pocomoke called Benefield and of 2,500 acres at Wickomoco, Maryland, called Bennet's Adventure and 1/2 of 2,000 acres at Pocomoke, in Virginia, to be divided between her and her brother Bennet Scarburgh. To daughter Mary Scarburgh land at Pungoteagure called Yeo's Neck, now Bradfield, purchased of Justinian Yeo. To daughter Sarah 2,000 acres on the south side of White Marsh. To daughter Tabitha Scarburgh land near the Court House, land at Anancock, called the Town, land in Burton's Branch. To wife Elizabeth lot at Anancock Town, Tangier Island, at Bundicks and Muddy Creek and 3,000 acres called Hogquarter in Maryland and all other land not already by me given, also my plantation and land and Winter Island for life. Wife residual legatee and executrix. Wittnesses: John West (minor), John Lilliston, Edmond Scarburgh and John Morragh.

Most of the heirs of Charles and his wife Elizabeth were named in a deed of 2 Oct 1721 conveying all rights to "Bennett's Adventure" to George Dashiell of Somerset Co, MD, our seventh great grandfather George Dashiell on another family line. (Somerset Co, MD, Deed Bk. IK, p. 192).

      Anne "Nan" was married to Richard Beadle when she decided to reside with and have children with William Satchell.

     Ann Satchell was born c 1746 at Accomack Co, Virginia.¹ She was the daughter of Southy Satchell and Sarah Kendall.¹ Ann Satchell died b 23 Nov 1781 at Northampton Co, Virginia.¹

     Ann Kelly ? was born c 1675.¹ She married Edmund Johnson I, son of Jeptha Johnson and Elizabeth Teague, c 1698 at Northampton Co, Virginia.¹

      Ann may have been Ann Scot based on this analysis: The will of her son-in-law William Kendall III (~1686-1718), referred to has William the Younger, bequeaths "To my son John [born ~1709] gold ring which was his grandmother Scot's...."
At this point in the available research, of the three potential grandmother's to be named Scot only Ann's last name is unknown. Note Scot would also have likely been her married name.
