Unknown Bird / Byrd was born a 1760.
There is a possiblility Peter Bird is Hiram Bird's father because: the Peter Bird and Hardy Wheless families were living in District 11, Halifax Co, NC in 1786 and in 1790; Hardy's daughter Tempie Wheless married Hiram Bird in 1813; and the Bird and Wheless families moved to Hillsborough, Wake Co, NC where they were living in 1800 -- after which Peter no longer appears on the census. However Peter Bird senior's will did not note Hiram as a son, so Peter is not likely Hiram's father.

A different Peter Bird was noted as marrying Minerva Manly in Halifax Co, NC sometime about 1741 on but no date is given so it is impossible to ascertain if this could be the same man or his relative.

On 9 Feb 1786 Peter was enumerated with 1 white male age 21-60, 2 white males under 21 or above 60 (one could be Hiram Bird), 3 white females, 3 blacks including 2 blacks under 12 or over 60.

By 1790 Peter was noted as living in Halifax Co, NC near Allin Bird, who had a family totalling 7. In addition to his wife he was living with 1 male under 16 (one could be Hiram Bird) and 2 females in addition to another "free person" and 3 slaves, for a total of 9 people; this is likely the same Peter Bird because of the continuity of the slaves in the household. By 1800 Peter was living in Wake Co, NC with 5 free people and 1 slave for a total of 6 in the household. Peter has consistently had only 3-4 children in his home indicating his was a relatively small family with only 2 sons to carry on the Bird name.

Descendants of the Dollar family believe Hiram's father was Thomas Bird b 6 May 1766 in Anson Co, NC (more data online on his parents) and died 12 Jun 1839 in Hall Co, GA and his mother Judith May 1 Jan 1769 Anson Co, NC to 1 Jan 1854 in Alpharetta, Fulton Co, GA.

I'm descended from BIRDS who were in Halifax Co. NC by late 18th c.Believe line to be Allen Bird m. Mary Jane Brantly; they had at least 4 children including son John Bird; Allen moved family c. 1798 to Hancock Co., GA. and my "for-sure" Bird ancestor, Nancy Bird b. c. 1804/5 per census records, wed Stephen Hiram Rowe in Hancock Co. in 1824.I believe Nancy Bird was a dtr of John Bird; I believe further that she had a first cousin, Gressom (or Gresham) Cofield Bird, and that some, many even of the Birds who were in Hancock Co., GA c. 1820s were by 1860s in Jackson Co., FL (that's a panhandle country bordering GA).
