     John Weitzel I was born a 1890. He married Mae Hincher Woods, daughter of Richard Sampson Woods and Willie Anne Moss, a 1915. John Weitzel I was buried at Richmond, Virginia.

     John Weitzel II was born a 1916. He was the son of John Weitzel I and Mae Hincher Woods.

     George Weitzel was born a 1918. He was the son of John Weitzel I and Mae Hincher Woods.

     Archibald Woods I was born on 29 Jan 1749 at Albemarle Co, Virginia. He was the son of COL William Woods I and Susannah Wallace. Archibald Woods I married Mourning Shelton on 13 Aug 1775 at Albemarle Co, Virginia. Archibald Woods I married Dorcas Henderson a 1793. Archibald Woods I died on 17 Dec 1830 at Madison Co, Kentucky, at age 81.

     Mourning Shelton was born a 1750. She married Archibald Woods I, son of COL William Woods I and Susannah Wallace, on 13 Aug 1775 at Albemarle Co, Virginia.

     Anna Woods was born on 27 Jan 1787. She was the daughter of Archibald Woods I and Mourning Shelton. Anna Woods married Thomas Miller / Milleron on 29 Jul 1806.

     Thomas Miller / Milleron was born a 1781. He married Anna Woods, daughter of Archibald Woods I and Mourning Shelton, on 29 Jul 1806.

     Garland Miller was born a 1807. He was the son of Thomas Miller / Milleron and Anna Woods. Garland Miller married Sarah Dismonker a 1832.

     Sarah Dismonker was born in 1812. She married Garland Miller, son of Thomas Miller / Milleron and Anna Woods, a 1832.

     Anna Woods Miller was born a 1833. She was the daughter of Garland Miller and Sarah Dismonker. Anna Woods Miller married Thomas Ross a 1853.

     Thomas Ross was born a 1828. He married Anna Woods Miller, daughter of Garland Miller and Sarah Dismonker, a 1853.

     Mary Anna Ross was born a 1854. She was the daughter of Thomas Ross and Anna Woods Miller. Mary Anna Ross married Manley Askins a 1874.

     Manley Askins was born a 1749. He married Mary Anna Ross, daughter of Thomas Ross and Anna Woods Miller, a 1874.

     Miller Askins was born a 1875. He was the son of Manley Askins and Mary Anna Ross. Miller Askins married Elizabeth Davenport a 1900.

     Elizabeth Davenport was born a 1880. She married Miller Askins, son of Manley Askins and Mary Anna Ross, a 1900.

     Norman Davenport Askins was born a 1901. He was the son of Miller Askins and Elizabeth Davenport.

     CPT John Moffett was born c 1709 at Ireland. He married Mary Christian, daughter of CPT Gilbert Christian and Margaret Mary Elizabeth Richardson, in 1734. CPT John Moffett died c 1740 at North Carolina. He was buried at Virginia.

      John Moffett came to America with a large family of sons and daughters and several families of his wife's kin. He settled on Middle River, within two miles of the Old Stone Church.

After settling his family John Moffett went to North or South Carolina to buy land or visit brothers and never returned. There is speculation he was murdered by Indians or abandoned his Virginia familily and returned to Ireland.

Although this has not been researched for verification, the Moffets were reported to be a very ancient Baeder family, influential and powerful as far back as the time of Wallace and conspicuous for the deadly feud which existed between them and the Johnstones. De Moffat was Bishop of Glascow early in the twelveth century and the armorial bearings of all the different branches seem to indicate connections with the church. Moffat of Lauder, County Berwick possessed in early times considerable estates in Lauderdale. Chyspring Barnet, County Hertford was derived from Moffat of Lauder(dale), granted on 10 May 1585. There are also several descriptions of crests and mottoes.

     Mary Christian was born in 1714. She was the daughter of CPT Gilbert Christian and Margaret Mary Elizabeth Richardson. Mary Christian immigrated in 1726. She married CPT John Moffett in 1734. Mary Christian married John Trimble a 1741. Mary Christian died in 1750.

      Mary Christian was a cousin of Col Christian of Point Pleasant.

     CPT Gilbert Christian was born c 1677 at Scotland. He was the son of Patricius Christian and Mary Nettles. CPT Gilbert Christian immigrated in 1702 to Ireland. He married Margaret Mary Elizabeth Richardson a 1711 at Scotland. CPT Gilbert Christian immigrated in 1726 to Pennsylvania. He died a 1756 at Christian's Creek, Augusta Co, Virginia. He was buried at Augusta Co, Virginia.

      Nearly all of the Christians settling on the east coast of the US were of the established church, whereas this Gilbert Christian's family fled Scotland to Ireland in 1702 and then immigrated to America because of persecution of their Presbyterian faith.

Gilbert, his wife, three sons, daughter, and his nephew Israel Christian with his wife immigrated to New Castle, PA in 1726 and settled in Derry, Lancaster Co, PA for six years. When Gilbert and his family moved to Augusta Co, VA in 1732 theirs was one of the first families in the county. The family came down into the Valley of Virginia, locating near what is present day Staunton, VA. They entered a large tract of land on a creek which they named Christian's Creek and it is still so named. They were also referenced living in a home called "Walnut Hill," near Mint Springs in Orange Co, VA. Deeds are recorded in Orange Co, VA for 1736.

Gilbert was a celebrated Indian fighter and commanded a battle in Augusta County at the age of 80.

     Margaret Mary Elizabeth Richardson was born a 1691 at Ireland. She married CPT Gilbert Christian, son of Patricius Christian and Mary Nettles, a 1711 at Scotland.

      Mary Elizabeth Richardson is also referenced as Margaret.

     John Trimble was born a 1715. He married Mary Christian, daughter of CPT Gilbert Christian and Margaret Mary Elizabeth Richardson, a 1741.

     James McDowell was born a 1735. He was the son of CPT John McDowell and Magdalena Woods.

     Martha Borden was born c 1745. She was the daughter of Benjamin Borden II and Magdalena Woods. Martha Borden married Benjamin Hawkins a 1770. Martha Borden married Robert Harvey in 1779.

     Robert Harvey was born a 1755. He married Martha Borden, daughter of Benjamin Borden II and Magdalena Woods, in 1779.

     George Boone III was born in 1666 at Stoak, England. He married Mary Maugridge a 1686. George Boone III immigrated in 1716 to Berks Co, Pennsylvania. He died on 27 Jul 1744 at Exter, Pennsylvania.

     Mary Maugridge was born in 1669 at Bradninch, Devonshire, England. She married George Boone III a 1686.

     Anne Boone was born a 1727. She married William Winter in 1747. Anne Boone died in 1771.

     William Winter was born a 1720. He married Anne Boone in 1747. William Winter married Elizabeth Campbell in 1774.

      That the Winters were intermarried into the families of Daniel Boone and Abraham Lincoln appears to be untrue.
