His wife's name varies from Louetta to Louella but she signed her marriage certificate as Louetta. Lafe also commonly used the names Lacy and Laif. In 1930 the family was residing in Cold Springs, Elmore Co, AL, and of interest is the Mitchell Wright, seven years older than Lafe, living next door whose family is annotated as black. Lafe's mother always stated she had six children and all of those children are accounted for so it is unknown if Mitchell Wright may in some way be related to Lafe's family.

Nora Lee Wright married Tanner Sullivan on 29 Dec 1914 at Coosa Co, Alabama. Nora Lee Wright died on 20 Mar 1999 at Bon Air, Talladega Co, Alabama, at age 106.
